Rope Bowl Basket
SUPPLIES NEEDED:.
- Cotton Clothesline
- Matching thread
- Jeans Needle
- 5” fabric circle for base of basket
- Coordinating 1 ¼” WOF strips for wrapping the rope (approx. one WOF strip covers one row of this small basket)
- Double sided fusible interfacing (Heat ‘n’ Bond Lite or Steam-a-Seam Lite)
- Optional trim items such as ribbon, buttons or beads
- Sewing machine with zig zag capability along with zig zag foot and plate
- Hot glue gun (some will be available for use if you don't have one)
PRE-CLASS WORK – Roll your skein of rope into a ball (like you would with yarn) This makes it much easier when forming the basket.

In this short time, she has made dozens of quilts and is particularly fond of applique, which has led to the creation of many unique baby quilts. She is always looking for smaller projects that come together quickly to fill in gaps between making larger projects. Making rope bowls quickly became an obsession and make the perfect gift for anyone. The baskets are quick and fun to make and the design possibilities and size of the baskets are endless. |
